"We need to refocus our attention on Brea's future... Let's move on from the conflicts of the past and concentrate on planning growth and controlling traffic instead of reacting to it. Now is the time for positive leadership, not ego's and posturing" - Steve Vargas |
3-Step Action Plan
Complete Projects
Refocus our priorities to finish long promised projects and initiatives.
- Build a fully funded Sports Park, Now! Without taking 'snack shack money' away from our sports teams.
- Build sound walls to improve safety and privacy of our neighborhoods.
- Facilitate building a new Boys & Girls Club and finishing South Brea Blvd.
Protect Private Property
Stop Eminent Domain and Regulatory Takings of private property.
- Let's work with property owners to garner 70% Open Space to protect our hillsides instead of wasting millions on unnecessary lawsuits.
- We must focus Redevelopment spending and ensure we are getting the best economic return for our investments.
Communication
Encourage participation by all citizens and show respect for their views and opinions.
- Breans must feel comfortable going to City Hall. I will work to open additional lines of communications at all levels of city government.
- I will restore trust in elected officials. We must initiate Term Limits to keep ideas fresh and keep pace with the times.
